This project was quite interesting as we were asked to lay a solid Oak Parquet floor in Herringbone design throughout a ground floor of a house. However due to several restrictions in the kitchen area it was decided that fitting a solid Oak plank would be a better solution in this room.  The blocks used on the ground floor were solid Oak and a Prime grade and would have to be sanded and seal to create a level finish,  therefore creating a man made finish. Therefore when selecting the floor in the kitchen the obvious choice was a unfinished solid Oak Prime grade plank.

After laying the solid Oak plank the floor was sanded to a fine finish, then a High traffic seal was applied, the floor was then buffed lightly to remove any uneven surface there may be on the seal. The floor is then ready for the final seal to be applied.

After the seal has been applied the floor is left to cure (dry) completely this creates a very strong finish ready to be enjoyed.
